21 years ago Jorgen Stenberg decided to launch a new concept that would change the automotive testing in many ways. The key-word was: -Full service! No matter if the customer needed extreme cold climate tests, durability tests with a very special set up, desert tests or even winter tests in the middle of the summer – Mr Stenberg would find a location and way of doing it. During these 21 years, especially the cold climate tests have become more and more important for the automotive industry, and Jorgen Stenberg and SIS have led the work of improving methods and ways of making these test more efficient through his company NMI AB. In the spring of 2007 Mr Stenberg sold his shares in the NMI, and put his full attention into his own company SIS AB and the projects in China, Morocco and Namibia. “The Chinese automotive industry has the greatest potential world-wide, and I believe that SIS has its future there, helping to develop methods and ways of testing and developing systems and components. Through the years of working with the European automotive industry, we have gained a lot of insight as how to find and define weak points technically and quality-wise in a car. We have also learned how to build test tracks, use them and also how to train engineers in testing their technical solutions. I think this could be useful knowledge to share with our Chinese colleagues. “ /Jörgen Stenberg In 2007 Mr Stenberg was awarded the gold medal of the first size by the Swedish Patriotic Society for his achievements. It was given to him by the Swedish king Karl XVI Gustav personally.
